Award winning artist showcase collection of photography in extreme weather at Taylor’s University

Dr. Alex Wong, from Sabanci University, Turkey, debut his latest collection of photography called Minus Thirty Celsius at Taylor’s University

The School of Design at Taylor’s recently showcased photographic pieces at the CODA Gallery by award winning photographer, Dr. Alex Wong from Sabanci University. The exhibition, displayed at the Lakeside Campus, called “Minus 30 celsius” portrayed images of landscapes caught in extreme cold weather. While most photographers take weather as part of their important factor and consideration in order to obtain ideal photographic results, Alex's approach was to use weather and its ever changing phenomena as his artistic subject of investigation.

"The chilling and unfriendliness weather condition keeps people away, and I find it strangely beautiful. It endures my presence, but it is rarely welcoming. The deep silence sounds like eternity, and makes me alive again," Alex describes of his photography collection.
