Coursework Application

1. The following application form applies for Postgraduate Coursework programmes which consist of:

  • Master in Finance
  • Master in International Hospitality Management
  • Master in Management
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Communication
  • Master of Laws (Healthcare and Medical Law)
  • Master of Laws (International Business and Trade Law)
  • Master of Teaching & Learning
  • Master of Philosophy (Food Studies)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning

2. Submit supporting documents:

  • Three (3) copies of academic certificates and transcripts (CERTIFIED TRUE COPY)
  • Three (3) copies of original passport including BLANK pages (CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES) and ensure passport has a minimum of fifteen (15) months validity
  • Six (6) passport-sized photographs with white background (3.5 cm (W) x 4.5 cm (H))
  • Curriculum vitae / resume
  • Candidates who completed their degree in a language other than English may be required to submit evidence of English competency
  • Employer testimonial / Letters of recommendation either from the current/former employer and/or from a faculty member who is able to evaluate the applicant's potential for success in the programme (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship/sponsorship (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship/sponsorship (if applicable)
  • Pre-Arrival Health Examination Report (optional)
  • Download Health Examination Report

3. Payment of non-refundable Application fee of RM250/USD88

4. Upon acceptance into the programme, payment of International Student Charge of RM2,625/USD700 (payable by telegraphic transfer or bank draft) will be required for visa processing. Bank details are stated in the Postgraduate Application Form.

5. Visa application

Malaysian Immigration Department requires 6 - 8 working weeks to process student visa application. Taylor's International Office will assist international applicants in submitting the necessary application for student visa, upon approval of their application for admission into the Master's programme and issuance of Letter of Acceptance

2. Identify your Research Area

  • You should have a clear idea of the potential areas of research that interests you
  • In case, if you are not sure, you may refer to the page ‘Key Research Areas’ to choose the area of study that is of interest to you.
  • A Research Proposal of three or more pages is required for scholarship applicants Download file

3. Identify your potential supervisor (Optional)

  • You may identify your potential supervisor using ‘Find the Experts’ page and you may directly submit your pre-admission documents as stated in step 5. supervisors at Find supervisors
  • In case, if you are not sure, you may refer to the page ‘Key Research Areas’ to choose the area of study that is of interest to you.
  • You should prepare a brief 1 page statement on your interest Download file
  • A Research Proposal of three or more pages is required for scholarship applicants Download file
  • You also have the option to follow step 4, ‘Refine your research proposal’, if you wish to.
  • In case, if you are not able to identify a potential supervisor, you may directly move to step 5, ‘Submit Pre-admission documents’ for supervisor allocation.

4. Submit Pre-admission documents

  • You may submit pre-admission documents (indicated below) to Postgraduate - Enrolment & Advisory Services via email postgraduate@taylors.edu.my to check your eligibility for admission & scholarship as well as supervisor allocation.
  • Pre- admission documents include:
    • Proposal
    • Curriculum vitae / resume
    • Academic Certificate [Academic certificates [Bachelor’s Degree and / or Master’s Degree Certificate]
    • Academic Transcripts [Bachelor’s Degree and / or Master’s Degree Transcript]
  • Postgraduate - Enrolment & Advisory Services will advise you accordingly for admission and scholarship application

5. Submit your application

  • Once your research proposal is accepted and supervisor is confirmed, you may proceed to submit your Application.
  • Application can be submitted at any time of the year. In order for an application to be assessed, it is important that you submit all the required documents. Which includes:
  • Submit supporting documents
    • Three (3) copies of certified true copies of Bachelor’s Degree and / or Master Degree certificates and transcripts (attached English translation if transcripts are in a foreign language)
    • Three (3) copies of passport including BLANK pages, kindly ensure your passport has a minimum of fifteen (15) months validity
    • Seven (7) passport-sized photographs with white background (3.5 cm (W) x 4.5 cm (H))
    • Research Proposal
    • Curriculum vitae / resume
    • Two (2) Academic Referee’s Report
    • One (1) Addendum
    • Certified true copy of letter of scholarship / sponsorship (if applicable)
    • Candidates who completed their degree in a language other than English is required to submit evidence of English competency
    • Application Fee payment of RM 250.00 / USD 71 (Non-refundable)
  • Upon acceptance into the programme, International students are required to submit the following documents for student visa application:
    • Pre-arrival Health Examination Report Download file
    • Payment of RM2,625/USD750 (EMGS Visa Application + Hospitalization and Surgical Insurance Fee + Part of International Student Enrolment Fee) will be required for visa processing (Non-refundable)

6. Visa application
