Taylor’s University Ranked Number 5 in Asia and Number 29 in the World By QS for its School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts

Taylor’s University School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts has been recognised in the QS subject world rankings.

Taylor’s University is ranked no. 29 in the world for Hospitality & Leisure Management

The inaugural 2017 has ranked the Taylor’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (HCTA) at number #29 in the world and placing it at #5 in Asia. Taylor’s University is placed alongside other leading young universities in Asia - including Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HK PolyU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Professor Perry Hobson, the PVC for Global Engagement at Taylor’s University pointed out that Taylor’s has developed “an outstanding reputation for is innovative partnership with leading hotel chains such as Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La and Starwood that are part.

It is also a result of the research that has been done through its and the hosting of many international conferences – such as the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association (APTA), ApacCHRIE, TTRA-Apac, BEST–EN Think Tank - at the Lakeside Campus”. He added that, “HCTA has also developed its own series. After hosting these conferences for many years in Malaysia, the 2016 conference was held in India and the next one is slated to be hosted by Far Eastern University (FEU) in The Philippines in 2018. Furthermore, HCTA has also taken the lead to develop and has created a network of institution with the region to focus on common research issues”.

The School has also launched and its staff and students have also won host of culinary awards and competitions over the years, with the most recent being at awards in the USA. Furthermore, HTCA has been partnered with the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès and the Academy of Toulouse in France for nearly 30-years. Under the leadership of its Dean, Dr Neethia Ari Ragavan, the faculty members have always aspired to be recognsied amongst the finest in the world. In 2013, the School achieved accreditation from the prestigious.
