On 25th August 2016, team OMG Productions, comprising four Event Management students from the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (TCHT) - Thye Wen Yi, Chai Sze Wha, Mar Pui Yee and Lim Shi Cherng, emerged as one of the top two winners in the MACEOS Asia MICE Youth Challenge.
Under the guidance of their lecturers, Nadia Adros, Joann Lim, Rae Hooi and Sharon Linang, the students completed a comprehensive event proposal and impressed the judges from MACEOS (Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Suppliers and Organizers), MyCEB, (Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau), SCB (Sarawak Convention Bureau) and ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
As one of the winners, team OMG Productions will be representing Malaysia at the AFECA (the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations) Asia MICE Youth Challenge in Xiamen, China on 8 November 2016. Good luck to the Taylor’s team!
