Taylor's Business School Twins Crowned CIMB ASEAN Stock Challenge 2016 Regional Champion

Twin brothers, Raymond Sim Yu Xin and Stanley Sim Yu Chin who formed team "Raymond Stanley Investment Fund" made Taylor's University and the country proud by becoming the CIMB ASEAN Stock Challenge 2016 Regional Champion. The brothers took home cash prize of USD$12,000 and a trip to Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The Accounting & Finance students started their battle against 3,489 teams from five ASEAN countries in the national challenge in November last year. They were required to trade in real-time utilising virtual cash on five major stock exchanges in the region namely Bursa Malaysia, Indonesia Stock Exchange (SET), Singapore Exchange (SGX), Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx).

Raymond and Stanley were named the National Champion during the national leg and represented Malaysia in the Grand finale where they competed against other National Champions from Indonesia, Singapore Thailand and Cambodia at the grand finale held in Singapore on 9 January 2017.
